Overview

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMFG) were interested in developing novel family planning methods for women, but user research was required to understand end-users’ cultural contexts and communication preferences.

Role

Anna led a two-country market research study using human-centered design (HCD) to explore user preferences and communication needs for the potential introduction of biodegradable implants in each country. Due to the pandemic, fieldwork was conducted by local researchers with Anna’s oversight and direction.
