The Approach

noodle executed a massive, immersive Qualitative Ecosystem Research initiative to capture the authentic realities of the modern retail experience. Our team conducted over 300 hours of rigorous ethnographic observation, coupled with 60 on-the-spot customer intercepts to gather unfiltered, real-time behavioral data. We further enriched this ground-level research by interviewing nearly 20 specialized subject matter experts and conducting detailed site visits to over 100 diverse retail locations across 10 major U.S. cities. Following this extensive data collection, we led a dynamic, collaborative ideation sprint with the client to process the findings and brainstorm disruptive retail concepts based on actual consumer desires. This allowed us to quickly pivot from raw observation to strategic conceptualization.
